Setting up Cowork
The book told you what Cowork mode is and why it matters. This page tells you what is true today: where to download it, what plan it needs, and what to expect on first run. It is kept current so the book never has to print a version number.

- Cowork mode availability
- Claude Cowork is available on the paid Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. It now runs on web (claude.ai) and mobile (iOS and Android) in addition to the macOS and Windows desktop app; web and mobile are in beta, rolling out over several weeks starting with the Max plan. Remote sessions run on Anthropic's servers, so work continues even with your computer closed. Reading or writing files in a folder on your computer still requires the Claude desktop app open on that machine. Source
